Pinpoint Test M: DTC U0155:00

  1. M1 VERIFY THE CUSTOMER CONCERN 
    • Ignition ON.
    • Verify that there is an observable symptom present.
    • Is an observable symptom present? 
    • Yes:  GO to M2  .
    • No:  The system is operating normally at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
  2. M2 CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK 
    • Ignition ON.
    • Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Network Test.
    • Carry out the network test.
    • Does the IC pass the network test? 
  3. M3 RECHECK THE PAM DTCs 
    • Clear the DTCs.
    • Operate the system and test the system for normal operation.
    • Repeat the PAM  self-test.
    • Is DTC U0155:00 still present? 
    • Yes:  GO to M4  .
    • No:  The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
  4. M4 CHECK FOR DTC U0155 OR DTC U0155:00 IN OTHER MODULES 
    • Clear all DTCs.
    • Ignition OFF.
    • Wait 10 seconds.
    • Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Self-Test.
    • Retrieve the continuous memory DTCs from all modules.
    • Is DTC U0155 or DTC U0155:00 set in any module? 
    • Yes:  INSTALL a new IC  . REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (IC) . TEST the system for normal operation.
    • No:  GO to M5  .
  5. M5 CONFIGURE THE IC 
    • Flash the IC  with the latest scan tool software.
    • Operate the system and test the system for normal operation.
    • Repeat the PAM  self-test.
    • Is DTC U0155:00 still present? 
    • Yes:  GO to M6  .
    • No:  The system is operating correctly at this time. The IC  had the incorrect software level.
  6. M6 CHECK FOR CORRECT PAM OPERATION 
    • Disconnect the PAM  connector.
    • Check for:
      • corrosion
      • damaged pins
      • pushed-out pins
    • Connect the PAM  connector and make sure it seats correctly.
    • Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.
    • Is the concern still present? 
    • Yes:  INSTALL a new PAM  . REFER to PARKING AID MODULE (PAM) . TEST the system for normal operation.
    • No:  The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector.
