Removal & Installation

- Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel and tire assembly. Remove brake caliper, and wire to underbody. Remove brake pads and caliper anchor plate. Remove rotor. Remove 3 bolts and dust shield.CAUTION: Discard wheel hub retainer nut and washer. It is a torque prevailing design. DO NOT reuse. DO NOT over extend CV joint and boots when removing hub and bearing assembly.
- Using the Front Wheel Hub Remover (205-D070), separate the outboard CV joint from the hub. See Fig 1 .
- Remove the dust shield.
- Remove the anti-lock sensor from the wheel hub.
- Remove the bolts (3) and the wheel hub.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure. Tighten bolts to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
CAUTION:
DO NOT use a hammer to separate the outboard CV joint from the hub. Damage to the outboard CV threads and to internal components may result.
CAUTION:
DO NOT over extend the CV joint and boots when removing the hub and bearing assembly.
