Seat - Front: Installation

NOTE:
The seat fasteners must be tightened in the sequence described in this procedure.
NOTE:
The front passenger seat uses different mounting bolts than the driver seat. Make sure the correct bolts are used when mounting the front passenger seat.
- Position the seat in the vehicle and connect the seat harness electrical connector(s).
- Attach the wiring harness to the seat track.
- Install the inboard rear mounting nut and cover.
- Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- Install the outboard rear mounting nut and cover.
- Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- Repower the SRS . For additional information, refer to Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering and Repowering in the General Procedures portion of SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEPOWERING AND REPOWERING .
- Position the seat rearward and install the inboard front mounting bolt.
- Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- Install the outboard front mounting bolt.
- Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
NOTE:
Before installation, make sure the safety belt webbing is not twisted and the safety belts and buckles are accessible to the occupants.
