Normal Operation

The ABS module uses input from the brake pedal angle sensor to determine the amount of deceleration the driver is requesting. The brake pedal angle sensor utilizes 2 Hall-effect sensors that provide redundant signals indicating the position of the brake pedal. Brake pedal angle sensor 1 provides signal to the ABS module along circuit VCA43 (WH/GN). Brake pedal angle sensor 2 provides signal to the ABS module along circuit VCA30 (YE/VT). The ABS module provides a 5-volt reverence voltage used by both of the sensors along circuit LCA27 (BN/WH). The ABS module provides a signal return common to both sensors along circuit RCA27 (WH).

This DTC will set if 1 of the 2 sensors inside the brake pedal angle sensor is inconsistent with the other or if the ABS module is faulted internally. This DTC can set as a result of other DTCs indicating a brake pedal angle sensor circuit fault. If DTCs C100D:21, 22 or C100E:21, 22 are present along with this DTC, diagnose them first. |

If the voltage on circuit VCA43 (WH/GN) is less than 300 millivolts, or if the ABS module is faulted internally, this DTC can set. This DTC can set as a result of a brake pedal sensor supply or signal return circuit fault. Diagnose DTC C100F:11 or 12 first if it is retrieved along with this DTC. |

If the voltage on circuit VCA43 (WH/GN) is greater than 4.72 volts, this DTC can set. This DTC can set as a result of a brake pedal angle sensor supply or signal return circuit fault, an internal brake pedal angle sensor fault or an internal ABS module fault. Diagnose DTC C100F:11 or 12 first if it is retrieved along with this DTC. |

If the voltage on circuit VCA30 (YE/VT) is less than 300 millivolts, this DTC can set. This DTC can set as a result of a brake pedal angle sensor supply or signal return circuit fault, an internal brake pedal angle sensor fault or an internal ABS module fault. Diagnose DTC C100F:11 or 12 first if it is retrieved along with this DTC. |

If the voltage on circuit VCA30 (YE/VT) is greater than 4.72 volts, this DTC can set. This DTC can set as a result of a brake pedal angle sensor supply or signal return circuit fault, an internal brake pedal angle sensor fault or an internal ABS module fault. Diagnose DTC C100F:11 or 12 first if it is retrieved along with this DTC. |

If circuit LCA27 (BN/WH) is shorted to ground, this DTC will set. The ABS module supplies power to both of the sensors inside the brake pedal angle sensor along circuit LCA27 (BN/WH). If circuit LCA27 (BN/WH) is shorted, brake pedal angle sensor signal fault DTCs will set for both of the sensors. Correct this DTC before diagnosing DTCs C100D:21, 22 or C100E:21, 22. |

If circuit LCA27 (BN/WH) is shorted to voltage, this DTC will set. The ABS module supplies power to both of the sensors inside the brake pedal angle sensor along circuit LCA27 (BN/WH). If circuit LCA27 (BN/WH) is shorted, brake pedal angle sensor signal fault DTCs will set for both of the sensors. Correct this DTC before diagnosing DTCs C100D:21, 22 or C100E:21, 22. |

- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Brake pedal angle sensor
- ABS module
