Removal and Installation

Front turn signal lamp 

  1. Disconnect the front turn signal lamp electrical connector.
  2. Rotate the front turn signal lamp bulb holder approximately one-eighth turn counterclockwise and remove from the headlamp assembly.
    • Separate the bulb from the bulb holder.

    Side lamp 

  3. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING -- ESCAPE, ESCAPE HYBRID, MARINER & MARINER HYBRID .
  4. Remove the 4 fender splash shield bolts.
    • To install, tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
  5. Remove the 4 fender splash shield pin-type retainers.
  6. Remove the screw and position the fender splash shield aside.
  7. Rotate the side lamp bulb holder approximately one-eighth turn counterclockwise and remove from the headlamp assembly.

  8. Remove the side lamp bulb from the bulb holder.

    Front turn signal lamp or side lamp 

  9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
