Test D: Warning Indicator Is On With Engine Running, System Charges

  1. Check "I" Circuit (Light Green/Red Wire) For A Short To Ground

    Turn ignition off. Disconnect generator 3-pin connector. Turn ignition on. Observe warning indicator. Is the charging system warning indicator illuminated? If yes, repair short to ground in Light Green/Red wire between generator and instrument panel. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If no, install a new generator. See GENERATOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
