Perimeter Alarm Inhibit

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Mercury Milan, 2010 Lincoln MKZ, and 2010 Ford Fusion. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The anti-theft inhibit switch (also known as the luggage compartment lid disarm switch) can be used to inhibit (stop/prevent) an armed system from activating the alarm. If the luggage compartment lid is opened by turning the key in the luggage compartment lid lock cylinder, the SJB will not activate the perimeter alarm. The perimeter alarm will continue to be armed for the other closures (all of the doors and the hood), but the alarm will not activate with the luggage compartment lid open.

If the luggage compartment lid is released using the luggage compartment lid release button on the IKT key, the perimeter alarm will be disarmed for the luggage compartment lid only. The rest of the vehicle closures will continue to be armed.
