Transaxle Draining and Filling: Material

PART NUMBER REFERENCE TABLE

Item Part Number Description
1 - Transaxle drain plug
2 - Transaxle fill plug
  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Remove the drain plug and drain the fluid.
  3. Install a new washer and the drain plug.
    • Tighten to 49 Nm (36 lb-ft).
  4. Remove the fill plug.
    NOTE: Prior to removal, clean the area of the fill plug.
  5. Fill the transaxle with the recommended fluid.
    NOTE: Do not overfill the transaxle. This may result in increased operating temperature or cause transaxle fluid to be forced out of the case.

  6. Install a new washer and fill plug.
    • Tighten to 49 Nm (36 lb-ft).
