Removal and Installation

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Remove the RH front fender splash shield. For additional information, refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Remove the windshield washer pump.
    1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
    2. Disconnect the hoses.
    3. Remove the windshield washer pump.

    NOTE: When installing the windshield washer pump, be careful not to damage the rubber grommet.
    NOTE: To prevent spilling windshield washer fluid, drain the windshield washer reservoir before washer pump removal.

  4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Fill the windshield washer reservoir with windshield washer fluid.
    NOTE: Do not operate the windshield washer pump prior to filling the windshield washer reservoir. Failure to follow these instructions may result in premature pump failure.
