Crankshaft Rear Seal: Installation

  1. Using the Crankshaft Rear Main Oil Seal Installer Bolts and the Crankshaft Rear Main Oil Seal Installer, install the crankshaft rear oil seal.
    NOTE: Clean all sealing surfaces with metal surface prep.
    NOTE: Apply clean engine oil to the seal lip and seal bore before installing the seal.

  2. Install the flexplate. For additional information, refer to Removal and Installation .
