P2533 (Pcm) - Ignition Switch Run/Start Position Circuit

P2533 (PCM) - IGNITION SWITCH RUN/START POSITION CIRCUIT

Description:  The powertrain control module (PCM) carries out a logic check on the ISP-R and ISP-R/S circuits. The PCM sets this DTC when a concern is detected.
Possible Causes: 
  • ISP-R circuit open
  • ISP-R circuit short to ground
  • PCMRC circuit open
  • PCMRC circuit short to voltage
  • Ignition circuit fuse
  • Damaged ignition switch
  • PCM
Diagnostic Aids:  The KEYST PID should display RUN when the ignition is in the ON position.
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory 
All GO to PINPOINT TEST B .
