P2450 - EVAPORATIVE EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM SWITCHING VALVE PERFORMANCE OR STUCK OPEN
| Description: | The powertrain control module (PCM) monitors the fuel vapor vent valve for correct operation. During the EVAP monitor cruise test after verifying a 1.02 mm (0.040 inch) leak is not present, the PCM commands the fuel vapor vent valve closed while a vacuum is present in the fuel tank and opens the canister vent. If the fuel vapor vent does not close, the vacuum in the tank is quickly lost. If the rate of loss exceeds a calibrated threshold the DTC is set. | ||
