Driveshaft - Rear Two-Piece: Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
  2. Index-mark the driveshaft to the rear axle pinion flange.

  3. Remove 4 bolts and disconnect the rear driveshaft section.

  4. Support the coupling shaft, and remove the 2 center bearing bracket bolts.

  5. Index-mark the driveshaft flange and transmission. Remove the 4 bolts.

  6. Remove the driveshaft.
