Transmission Fluid Drain and Refill - Automated Equipment: Draining

NOTE: Always refer to the instructions supplied with the flush and fill machine, or transmission damage may occur.
  1. With the vehicle in PARK, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
  2. Use a suitable flush and fill machine to change the transmission fluid.
  3. When connecting the flush and fill machine, connect the machine to the transmission fluid cooler tube after the transmission fluid cooler on the cooler return tube. This will help remove any foreign material trapped in the transmission fluid coolers.
