Glow Plug: Installation

No. 4 and 6 glow plugs
- Install the glow plug.
- Tighten to 19 Nm (14 lb-ft).
- Clean and apply clean engine oil to the O-ring seals prior to installation.
- Using the special tool, install the glow plug harness.
- Install the LH exhaust manifold. For additional information, refer to ENGINE - 6.0L DIESEL article.
- Install the glow plug.
- Tighten to 19 Nm (14 lb-ft).
- Clean and apply clean engine oil to the O-ring seals prior to installation.
- Using the special tool, install the glow plug harness.
- Install the glow plug.
- Tighten to 19 Nm (14 lb-ft).
- Clean and apply clean engine oil to the O-ring seals prior to installation.
- Using the special tool, install the glow plug harness.
- Install the engine cover. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION article.
- Install the glow plug.
- Tighten to 19 Nm (14 lb-ft).
- Clean and apply clean engine oil to the O-ring seals prior to installation.
- Using the special tool, install the glow plug harness.
- Install the PCM and bolt.
- Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
- Connect the PCM electrical connectors.
- Install the air cleaner outlet pipe and tighten the clamps.
- Connect the coolant hoses to the air cleaner outlet pipe.
- Remove the power steering fluid indicator. Position the power steering reservoir mounting bracket. Install the retainers and power steering fluid indicator.
- Install the power steering reservoir bracket retainers.
- Position the upper air deflector and install the push pin retainers.
No. 1, 3 and 5 glow plugs
No. 7 and 8 glow plugs
No. 2 glow plug
CAUTION:
Fully seat the PCM electrical connectors prior to latching them or damage to the connector pins may occur.
