Oil Pump: Removal

Remove the crankshaft front seal. For additional information, refer to Crankshaft Front Seal .
Remove the 5 bolts and the oil pump cover.
- Remove and discard the O-ring seal.

NOTE: Mark the front of the inner and outer gerotors for correct reassembly.

Remove the inner and outer gerotors.

Inspect the oil pump components. Install new components, as necessary.
- Inspect the oil pump for excessive metal particles.
- Inspect the oil pump for gouges, cracks or deep scratches.
- Inspect the oil pump inner and outer gear rotors for damage or excessive wear.
