Crankshaft Front Seal: Installation

  1. Thoroughly clean the crankshaft front seal mounting surface.
  2. Apply threadlock to the outer circumference of the leading edge of the crankshaft.
    3. NOTE: New seal and wear sleeve must not be separated.
  3. Using the Crankshaft Front Seal and Wear Ring Installer, install the new oil seal and wear sleeve assembly.

  4. Install the crankshaft pulley. For additional information, refer to Crankshaft Pulley .
