Throttle Body - Spacer, 5.4L: Removal

  1. Remove the engine cover. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION article.
  2. Remove the air cleaner assembly and air cleaner outlet tube. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION AND FILTERING article.
    3. NOTE: The red clip must be pulled out before disconnecting the electrical connector.
  3. Disconnect the electronic throttle control electrical connector.
    4. NOTE: The red clip must be pulled out before disconnecting the electrical connector.
  4. Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector.
  5. Disconnect the 3 vacuum hoses from the throttle body (TB) spacer.
  6. Remove the 4 bolts and the TB and TB spacer assembly.
    • Discard the TB spacer gasket.
