Throttle Body - Spacer, 5.4L: Installation

  1. Install a new TB spacer gasket, position the TB and TB spacer assembly and tighten the 4 bolts in 2 stages.
    • Stage 1: Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
    • Stage 2: Tighten an additional 90 degrees.
  2. Connect the 3 vacuum hoses from the TB spacer.
  3. Connect the TP sensor electrical connector.
    • Push back the red clip.
  4. Connect the electronic throttle control electrical connector.
    • Push back the red clip.
  5. Install the air cleaner assembly and air cleaner outlet tube. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION AND FILTERING article.
  6. Install the engine cover. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION article.
