Normal Operation

During normal operation, the windshield wiper motor receives voltage at all times through central junction box (CJB) circuit breaker 44 (30A), circuit 950 (WH/BK). The windshield wiper motor also receives power with the ignition switch in RUN or ACC positions through CJB fuse 9 (5A), circuit 65 (DG). Ground is provided to the windshield wiper motor and the multifunction switch through circuit 938 (BK/LG). The run/park relay and high/low relay are contained in the wiper motor electronics. The windshield wiper motor receives open and ground inputs from the multifunction switch through circuits 56 (DB/OG), 58 (WH), 61 (YE/RD) and 63 (RD). Mode of operation is dependant on the signal(s) received from the multifunction switch.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
