Removal And Installation

- Remove the front door trim panel. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION article.
- Remove the front door inner belt line weatherstrip.
- Remove the rear glass channel bolt and lift the channel.
- To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
- Lower the window glass to gain access to the 2 glass bracket retaining rivets.
- Remove the center pins from the rivets, using a drift. Using a 1/4-inch diameter drill, drill out the remainder of the rivets.
- Lift up and rotate the front door window glass clockwise and remove.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
CAUTION:
Do not attempt to pry out the rivets, as damage to the front door window glass can result. Prior to removing the rivet center pins, it is recommended that a suitable block support be placed between the front door outer panel and the glass bracket to stabilize the glass during rivet removal.
