Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor

1 14A464 Engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor electrical connector
2 8548 ECT sensor
  1. Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING article.
  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION AND FILTERING - 3.0L (4V) article.
  3. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor electrical connector.
  4. Remove the ECT sensor.
    • Pull upward on the locking tab.
    • Rotate the sensor counterclockwise and remove.

  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
