Front Brake Disc: Removal

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel.
  2. Remove anchor plate and caliper assembly, and position aside. See CALIPERS & PADS .
  3. On 4WD vehicles, match-mark the brake disc and hub. Remove rotor bolts and remove rotor. See Figure.
  4. On 2WD vehicles, remove the hub grease cap, cotter pin, nut retainer, spindle nut, front wheel outer bearing retainer washer and outer front wheel bearing. Remove the brake disc and hub. See Figure.
  5. Remove the wheel hub grease seal. Remove the inner wheel bearing.
