Differential Seals - RH: Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
  2. Remove the transaxle drain plug and drain the transmission fluid.

  4. Remove the RH halfshaft and intermediate shaft. For additional information, refer to FRONT DRIVE HALFSHAFTS article.
  5. If equipped, remove the power transfer unit (PTU). For additional information, refer to TRANSFER CASE - POWER TRANSFER UNIT (PTU) article.
  6. If the vehicle is equipped with a PTU, use the special tools to remove the RH differential seal.

  8. If the vehicle is not equipped with a PTU, use the special tools to remove the RH differential seal.
