Transmission Range (TR) Sensor Adjustment

Alignment Gauge, TR Sensor 307-351 (T97L-70010-A)
  1. Remove the battery and tray. For additional information, refer to CHARGING SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION article.
  2. NOTE: Make sure the transaxle is in the NEUTRAL position.
  3. Loosen the transmission range (TR) sensor bolts.
  4. Fig 1: Locating TR Sensor & Bolts

  5. Using the special tool, align the TR sensor and tighten the bolts.
    • Tighten to 11 Nm (8 lb-ft).

  7. Install the battery and tray. For additional information, refer to CHARGING SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION article.
  8. Check for correct operation. The engine should start only in PARK or NEUTRAL. The reverse lamps should illuminate in the REVERSE position.
