Transmission Range (TR) Sensor Adjustment

Remove the battery and tray. For additional information, refer to CHARGING SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION article.

NOTE: Make sure the transaxle is in the NEUTRAL position.

Loosen the transmission range (TR) sensor bolts.

Using the special tool, align the TR sensor and tighten the bolts.
- Tighten to 11 Nm (8 lb-ft).

Install the battery and tray. For additional information, refer to CHARGING SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION article.
Check for correct operation. The engine should start only in PARK or NEUTRAL. The reverse lamps should illuminate in the REVERSE position.
