Symptom Chart - Transaxle Cooling

Symptom Chart - Transaxle Cooling

Condition Possible Sources Action
  • Motor electronics cooling system (MECS) overheating
  • Clogged motor electronics (M/E) cooler or hoses
  • INSPECT the M/E cooler and hoses for damage or plugging.
  • INSTALL a new M/E cooler or hoses as necessary.
 
  • M/E cooling system leaks
  • INSPECT the M/E cooler and hoses for leaks. REPAIR or INSTALL new components as necessary.
 
  • M/E coolant pump does not operate
  • CHECK the M/E coolant pump secondary electrical system. Go to Pinpoint Test A .
 
  • Radiator cooling fans
 
  • Internal transaxle concerns
