Removal & Installation (Front Cable & Conduit)

  1. Fully release parking brake control.
  2. Relieve the tension on the parking brake system. Pull the front parking brake cable down. Insert a suitable retainer. See Figure.
  3. Disconnect the front parking brake cable and conduit from the right parking brake rear cable and conduit. Pull the front parking brake cable and conduit rearward to unclip it from the right parking brake rear cable and conduit. See Fig 1.
  4. Remove the front door scuff plate. See Figure.
  5. Remove the cowl side trim panel. See Figure.
  6. Disconnect the front parking brake cable and conduit. Compress the connector to release the front parking brake cable. Disconnect the front parking brake cable. Remove the front parking brake cable. See Figure.
  7. Remove the front parking brake cable and conduit. Pry the rubber seal from the front floor pan. Unclip the front parking brake cable and conduit from the front parking brake cable clip. Compress the retainer and release the front parking brake cable and conduit from the bracket. Remove the front parking brake cable and conduit. See Fig 2.
  8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
