Removal And Installation

NOTE:
The transmission range (TR) sensor is part of the transmission selector lever assembly.
- Remove the transmission selector lever trim ring.
- Carefully pry up the 4 trim ring clips, then remove the trim ring.
- Remove the floor console finish panel. For additional information, refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CONSOLE article.
- Disconnect the shift cable end from the transmission selector lever ball stud.
- Release the cable retainer from the transmission selector lever assembly.
- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
- Remove the 4 bolts.
- To install, tighten to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft).
- Remove the transmission selector lever assembly.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure. Adjust the selector lever cable. Refer to Selector Lever Cable Adjustment .
CAUTION:
Before installation, make sure the transmission selector lever is in the DRIVE position with the ignition in the OFF position.
