Range Selection: Reverse

NOTE: Although the engine may be running in reverse, the reverse torque at the wheels is produced entirely by the electric traction motor.

With the range selector in REVERSE:

the vehicle may be operated in a rearward direction.
the reversing lamps are illuminated.
if the vehicle is not started, there is no reverse gear engagement.
