Selector Lever: Removal

- Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES article.
- Place the selector lever in the (D) position.
- Gently pry up to remove the upper selector lever trim ring.
- Remove the top finish panel.
- Remove the selector lever cable from the selector lever assembly.
- Disconnect the selector lever cable end from the selector lever.
- Remove the selector lever cable from the bracket.
- Remove the shifter.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the 4 bolts and remove the selector lever assembly.
NOTE:
It may be necessary to apply the parking brake in order to remove the top finish panel.
NOTE:
If necessary, disconnect the electrical connector from the finish panel.
