Passenger-Side Air Bag Deactivation (Pad) Switch: Removal

Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING SYSTEM under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM. Remove ashtray. Remove 4 ashtray bracket retaining bolts and bracket. See Figure . Disconnect PAD switch electrical connector. Remove PAD switch cover from ashtray bracket. Remove 2 screws and PAD switch.
