Front Camber and Caster Adjustment

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
  2. Remove the 4 front strut upper mounting bracket nuts.

  4. Push the front strut mounting bracket downward and turn it to the desired position to set the camber and caster. Both camber and caster for the front suspension are adjustable. For addition information, refer to Steps 4 and 5.
  5. NOTE: Notice the position of the strut rod in each position.
  6. Use the following table for LH side camber and or caster adjustment.
    DIFFERENCE FROM STANDARD POSITION (LH SIDE)

    Position Camber Angle Change Caster Angle Change
    1 Increase by 0.38 degrees Decrease by 0.39 degrees
    2 Not Affected Decrease by 0.39 degrees
    3 Baseline Reference Baseline Reference
    4 Increase by 0.38 degrees Not Affected

  8. Use the following table for the RH side camber and or caster adjustment.
    DIFFERENCE FROM STANDARD POSITION (RH SIDE)

    1 Decrease by 0.38 degrees Decrease by 0.39 degrees
    2 Not Affected Decrease by 0.39 degrees
    3 Baseline Reference Baseline Reference
    4 Decrease by 0.38 degrees Not Affected

  10. Install the 4 front strut upper mounting bracket nuts.
    • Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
