Subframe - Rear: Removal

All vehicles

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.

Vehicles with all wheel drive (AWD)

Remove the rear axle assembly. For additional information, refer to REAR DRIVE AXLE/DIFFERENTIAL article.

All vehicles

Remove the 4 bolts and position the 4 rear control arms aside.

Remove and discard the exhaust hanger from the subframe.

With an assistant, remove the 4 bolts and the rear subframe.
