Removal & Installation (Spring Lock Coupling)

NOTE: Spring Lock Disconnect Tools (D87L-9280-A & D87-9280-B) are required to perform this procedure. See Figure .

Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Remove the fuel tube clip. See Fig 1 . Place indicated spring lock coupler over coupling. See SPRING LOCK COUPLER IDENTIFICATION table. To release female fitting from garter spring, push coupler along tube into coupling. See Fig 2 . Pull spring lock coupling apart. Remove coupler from disconnected spring lock coupling.
Inspect and clean both coupling ends. Check for damaged garter spring and "O" rings. Lubricate the "O" ring seals with engine oil and push both coupling ends together until spring lock is in place. Install fuel tube clip.
