Removal & Installation

Remove turbocharger. See TURBOCHARGER . Disconnect exhaust backpressure solenoid electrical connector. Loosen exhaust adapter to exhaust inlet manifold bolts enough to pivot exhaust inlet manifold, allowing access to the right rear pedestal mounting bolt. See Fig 1 . Remove turbocharger pedestal mounting bolts and remove turbocharger pedestal. See Fig 2 . Remove and discard "O" rings. To install, reverse removal procedure. Install NEW "O" rings on turbocharger pedestal and tighten all bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
