Removal & Installation

Disconnect negative battery cable. On vehicles with dual batteries, see DUAL BATTERIES under MISCELLANEOUS. Remove air cleaner, inlet duct and resonator. See AIR INTAKE RESONATOR .
Remove intake air heater element nut and washer. Remove electrical leads, insulator and intake air heater element and copper washer. See Fig 1 .
To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten intake air heating element to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
