Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor

Disconnect negative battery cable. On vehicles with dual batteries, see DUAL BATTERIES under MISCELLANEOUS. Partially drain cooling system. Disconnect Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor electrical connector and remove ECT sensor. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten ECT to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
