Removal & Installation (5.4L & 6.8L)

Disconnect negative battery cable. On vehicles with dual batteries, see DUAL BATTERIES under MISCELLANEOUS. Remove engine cover. See ENGINE COVER under MISCELLANEOUS. Disconnect Idle Air Control (IAC) valve electrical connector and by-pass hose. Remove IAC valve bolts and IAC valve. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten IAC valve bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
