Exhaust Gas RECIRCULATION Vacuum Regulator Solenoid

Disconnect negative battery cable. On vehicles with dual batteries, see DUAL BATTERIES under MISCELLANEOUS. Remove engine cover. See ENGINE COVER under MISCELLANEOUS. Disconnect Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) vacuum regulator solenoid electrical connector and vacuum lines. Remove mounting bolts/nuts and remove the EGR vacuum regulator solenoid. See Fig 1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten mounting bolts/nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
