Removal & Installation (4.2L Coil Pack)

NOTE: Coil pack is located on right side valve cover.

Remove engine cover. See ENGINE COVER under MISCELLANEOUS. Disconnect ignition coil electrical connector and radio ignition interference capacitor connector. Noting spark plug wire location and disconnect spark plug wires. Remove coil bolts and coil. Inspect ignition coil for carbon tracks or damage. To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure spark plug wire position noted during removal procedure. Apply Silicone Dielectric Compound to inside of spark plug wire boots. Tighten all fasteners to specification.
