Power Transfer Unit (PTU) - Manual Transaxle

Item Part Number Description
1 33100-3A310 Power transfer unit (PTU)
2 32155-3A310 PTU-to-transaxle nuts (2 required)
3 - PTU stud
4 33315-3A310 PTU-to-transaxle bolts (2 required)
    CAUTION: The O-ring must be correctly installed before mating the power transfer unit (PTU) to the manual transaxle. Failure to correctly install the O-ring may cause the O-ring to be damaged, resulting in a transaxle fluid leak.
  1. Install a new O-ring seal.

  3. Position the power transfer unit (PTU) to the transaxle.
  4. Install the front stud.
    • Tighten to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft).

  6. Install the 2 PTU-to-transaxle nuts.
    • Tighten to 45 Nm (33 lb-ft).

  8. Install the 2 PTU-to-transaxle bolts.
    • Tighten to 45 Nm (33 lb-ft).

  10. Install the crossmember brace and the 4 bolts.
    • Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

  12. Install the driveshaft. For additional information, refer to DRIVESHAFT article.
  13. Fill the transaxle. For additional information, refer to Transaxle Draining and Filling in MANUAL TRANSAXLE/TRANSMISSION article.
