P1A0A - IMMEDIATE SHUTDOWN SIGNAL

Description:  The transaxle control module (TCM) monitors 2 redundant immediate shutdown (ISDN) inputs from the traction battery control module (TBCM). When the TCM detects one or both inputs out of the expected range this DTC is set.
Possible Causes:
  • Traction battery request for immediate shutdown
  • Open or short to ground ISDN1 circuit
  • Open or short ISDN2 circuit
  • Damaged TBCM
  • Damaged TCM
Diagnostic Aids:  Monitor I_SDN_1 and I_SDN_2 PIDs for discharge state. Only 1 PID stating charge and the other discharge indicates an ISDN circuit problem. Both PIDs stating discharge indicates a TBCM request for immediate shutdown.
