P1A04 - GENERATOR SHUTDOWN CIRCUIT
| Description: | The transaxle control module (TCM) continuously monitors the generator shutdown (GSDN) circuit and the controller area network (CAN) signal for a GSDN request from the powertrain control module (PCM). This DTC is set when the PCM requests generator shutdown through the CAN signal or if there is a GSDN circuit concern. The generator inverter will be disabled. | |||
| Possible Causes: |

| Diagnostic Aids: | With the PCM and TCM connected and with the key in ON position, check the GSDN signal frequency. If the frequency is between 49 and 75 Hz DC, no circuit problem is indicated and PCM generator shutdown is requested. | |||
