P0A78 - Drive Motor A Inverter Performance

P0A78 - DRIVE MOTOR A INVERTER PERFORMANCE

Description:  This DTC indicates a traction motor high voltage inverter or a traction battery concern.
Possible Causes: 
  • Inverter concern
  • Inverter temperature sensor
  • Motor control module (MCM)
  • Motor gate drive circuit open
  • Motor current sensor
  • Motor current out of range
  • MCM supply voltage out of range
  • High voltage traction battery
Diagnostic Aids:  The TCM DTC P0A78 could be stored as a result of a traction battery concern. Check for the presence of traction battery control module (TBCM) DTC P0A1F, P0A27, or P0A8D.
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory
