Valve Body Assembly (4R70W): Removal

- Drain the transmission fluid and remove the transmission fluid pan and filter. See DRAINING & REFILLING under LUBRICATION.
- Disconnect the molded lead frame from the solenoids. Disconnect the shift solenoid shift solenoids "A" and "B" (1). See Figure. Disconnect the Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) solenoid (2).
- Disconnect the Electronic Pressure Control (EPC) solenoid (3). Disconnect the bulkhead inter-connector (4). Remove the manual control valve detent lever spring bolt (1). See Figure.
- Remove the manual control valve detent lever spring (2). Remove the 24 valve body-to-case bolts See Fig 1. Remove the valve body and discard the pump outlet screen. See Fig 2.
