Removal And Installation

- Remove the lower body insulator. For additional information, refer to Body Support - Front Lower in this article.
- Remove the opposite side front body insulator bolt. For additional information, refer to Body Support - Front Lower in this article.
- Remove and discard the left and right middle insulator bolts. For additional information, refer to Body Support - Middle, Crew Cab, Lower in this article.
- Remove and discard the left and right rear body insulator bolts. For additional information, refer to Body Support - Rear, Regular Cab, Lower , Body Support - Rear, SuperCab, Lower or Body Support - Rear, Crew Cab, Lower .
- Raise the vehicle body enough to allow removal of the insulator.
- Remove the insulator.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
CAUTION:
When removing upper body insulators, all other body mount support bolts must be loose before raising the vehicle cab to prevent permanent structural damage from occurring to the vehicle cab.
NOTE:
Step 3 is for Crew Cab vehicles only.
NOTE:
Choose the proper procedure to match the vehicle that is being serviced.
NOTE:
Do not reuse body support mounting fasteners. New fasteners must be installed for each fastener that has been removed or loosened.
NOTE:
No lubricants of any kind are to be used during body insulator installation.
