Normal Operation
The instrument cluster communicates interactively with the scan tool and other electronic modules using the controller area network (CAN). With the ignition switch in the START or RUN position, the instrument cluster receives voltage from the central junction box (CJB) fuse 45 (10A) through circuit 640 (RD/YE). When the ignition switch is in the RUN or ACC position, voltage is received from CJB fuse 33 (15A) through circuit 1002 (BK/PK). With the ignition switch in the OFF position, the instrument cluster receives its keep-alive voltage from CJB fuse 2 (10A) through circuit 3049 (BK/LG). The instrument cluster grounding is through circuit 676 (PK/OG) and circuit 57 (BK).
DTC B1360 - sets if the instrument cluster detects voltage on circuit 640 (RD/YE) for greater than 15 seconds and no voltage present on circuit 1002 (BK/PK), indicating an open in circuit 1002 (BK/PK) or an open CJB fuse 33 (15A).
