Removal And Installation

  1. Remove the scuff plate.

  3. Position front seat(s) forward.
  4. Pull the door opening weatherstrips away from the B-pillar trim panel.

    NOTE: Inspect the shoulder safety belt guide and cover for damage. If the shoulder safety belt guide or cover is damaged or the cover does not remain closed, install a new shoulder safety belt guide.
  6. Remove the shoulder safety belt guide.
    • Position the shoulder safety belt guide cover up.
    • Remove the shoulder safety belt guide bolt.
    • Remove the shoulder safety belt guide.
      • To install, tighten to 40 N.m (30 lb-ft).

  8. Remove the safety belt anchor bolt.
    • To install, tighten to 40 N.m (30 lb-ft).

  10. Remove the B-pillar trim panel.

  12. Route the front safety belt and the shoulder belt guide through the B-pillar trim panel.
  13. Remove the B-pillar trim panel from the vehicle.
  14. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
