Pinpoint Test Aa: The Trailer Lamps Are Inoperative - Trailer Reversing Lamps

CAUTION: Use the correct probe adaptor(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adaptor(s) may damage the connector.
  1. AA1 CHECK CIRCUIT 963 (BK/LG) FOR VOLTAGE 
    • Disconnect: Trailer Tow C4099 (7-Pin)
    • Apply the parking brake.
    • Key in ON position.
    • Place the transmission in REVERSE.

    • Measure the voltage between the trailer tow C4099-7, circuit 963 (BK/LG), harness side and ground.
    • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? 
    1. YES  : The vehicle is operating correctly. SEND the trailer to an authorized camper/trailer repair facility.
    2. NO  : VERIFY the BJB fuse 20 (10A) is OK. If OK, go to  AA2 .
  2. AA2 CHECK FOR VOLTAGE TO THE BJB FUSE 20 (10A) 
    • Measure the voltage between the BJB fuse 20 (10A), circuit 140 (BK/PK), input side and ground.
    • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? 
    1. YES  : REPAIR circuit 140 (BK/PK). TEST the system for normal operation.
    2. NO  : REPAIR circuit 963 (BK/LG). TEST the system for normal operation.
