- Rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner and remove the accessory drive belt from the power steering pump pulley.
- For vehicles with air conditioning, rotate the tensioner clockwise.
- For vehicles without air conditioning, rotate the tensioner counterclockwise.
NOTE:
Vehicle with air conditioning shown, vehicle without air conditioning similar.
- Using the special tool, remove the pulley.
- Inspect the pulley for paint marks in the web area near the hub. If there are 2 paint marks, discard the pulley. If there is no paint or 1 paint mark, use a paint pencil to mark the web area of the pulley near the hub.
